Theatre Apparel

Dress: Urban Outfitters 24$, Shoes: Target 10$, Necklace: Just Creations 33$, Scarf: Target 18$, Earrings: Local Artist 40$

Not a ‘work outfit’, instead I changed into it when I got home from work so Curly-Haired boy and I could see a play our friend was directing called ‘The Last Days of Judas Iscariot’ at the local Alley Theatre. It was pretty good a little long for me but I’m glad we went.

I think this outfit also properly addresses that I am far more willing to spend money on accessories than actual clothing.

Also I made this. Because every time I wear this scarf I feel like Amelia Earhart. So here I am flying. Inspired by a cute photo I saw over here, it’s one of those retro shots that took me back to high school.

Orange Floral Dress

Dress: Thrifted 21$, Boots: Etsy 71$, Shirt: NY&C 12$, Necklace: Just Creations 33$, Earrings: Just Creations 8$

The weather was beautiful most of today until I stepped outside to take photos. So I took more photos in my ‘library’. This skirt is a really cute dress that looks cute on me and fits well but I’m never sure how to style. This is a tagua nut necklace. It’s a sustainable/renewable resource that can be cut, carved, stained and dyed. It’s being used in some countries as a sort of replacement for ivory. (Guess where I bought it… Just Creations!)

Here is a photo of the back of my boots that STILL doesn’t quite capture the awesomeness of the back of these boots. They are surprisingly hard to photograph. I’m feeling much better today. Lots of sleeping, some allergy medicine and some ICE CREAM. You know, for my mental health…

April waited till the last minute to get all it’s ‘showers’

The thing about living here, in the sort of mid-west/south is the FULL spectrum of weather. Nice big snow falls in the winter, hot humid days in the summer, the leaves changing in the fall, and apparently this year Louisville signed up for a monsoon. Who knew?
The weather and the way I felt the last four days can be summed up in the the same single word. ‘Gross’. Pretty much the entire weekend was rainy and dreary. Unless it brightened up at some point on Sunday afternoon. I wouldn’t know, I missed out on the fun Easter festivities due to feeling awful. Which continued into this week, along with all the rain.

My sister came into town with a new beau. We did some shopping, some coffee, lots of eating. Then curly haired boy and I went to a wedding. I looked cute for basically 36 hours straight, despite having to change clothes 4 times. But completely forgot to photo blog the cuteness. Am I allowed to don the clothes days later to document the cuteness? Because I might. I was THAT cute.

So this is my ‘I don’t feel well, and can’t really go outside for photos cuz it’s rainy & not fun outside’ look. Notice the ‘pregnancy’ top that makes it seem I might be trying to hide something. I promise I am not, and that in person this top actually looks pretty cute.

Shirt: Gap 15$, Pants: Gap 20$, Tank: J-Crew 15$, Shoes: Target 7$, Necklace: Target 11$, Earring: Just Creations: Gift

You can also get a good glimpse at my homemade bookshelves made from drawers I pulled off the street on trash day. So I created my own little library for basically 0$.I was playing around with the settings on my camera trying to get some good indoor shots with the basically non-exsistant light in my apartment. And forgot to change the ISO back to normal so these photos ended up a little off.
