Funky Sweater & a Floral Skirt

Sweater: Thrifted, Skirt: Body Central, Tights: Target (several seasons ago), Boots: Chinese Laundry

Ian-Dog and I have been working on ‘leash-less walking’ not far (and when there are other people or animals around he goes back on the leash) but in the little alley behind our apartment complex we’ve been walking without one. Hence this photo of me yelling ‘get back over here’ as he wanders a little bit to far away. All my classiness caught on camera.

I’ve really been rocking the super bright tights lately.

I bought this adorable little skirt at Body Central, that kind of obnoxious store in the mall that specializes in club wear. My friend wanted us to go clubbing with some of her co-workers. I didn’t really find anything ‘club worthy’ because everything I tried on made me feel really uncomfortable about my body. But this skirt was to cute to pass up. Even though it is rather short. But that just means I probably CAN wear it to the night-clubs sometime.

I ended up not going out to the ‘clubs’ on Friday, even after all that work shopping. A big group and I ended up seeing Curly-haired-boy’s comedy show instead. I ordered a delicious salad from a restaurant that I know & love, a gin & tonic, then a rum, coke & grenadine. And later that night had terrible nightmares that the comedians from the show followed us home, insisted on having an after party at our place and refused to leave when I asked nicely. NO MORE GRENADINE BEFORE BED FOR LOREN!

i used to be all about “da clubs” but lately that sort of thing just makes me feel old. and when i DO go, i absolutely never let anyone near me. i like to go to the places nobody else likes to go to, so that i can have the dance floor all to myself :p but i do love that skirt!

Ha, yes. We ‘go out’ plenty to places with dance floors and music. But this was supposed to be a night of clubbing which involves skeezy clubs and trying to get dudes to buy you drinks. I am not good at it, and you’re right I think I’m getting a little ‘old’ for it.

Totally digging this Cosby sweater :) Looks super comfy! And I’m definitely gonna have to try a rum, coke & grenadine next time I’m out…that sounds delicious!

It’s like Rum & Cherry coke, except at places that don’t have Cherry coke :)

That sweater does look super comfy. And the skirt is cute too!

Btw, does Ian-dog come back when you call him? Because our dog back home wouldn’t. He would run further away.

Ha, yes it took a bit of training but he does generally come when called. He’s still not 100% if there’s to much cool stuff and he gets distracted. We’re still working on ‘heel’ as well.
Part of the trick is to make sure your voice sounds nice even if you are mad at him for running off. Also to say ‘Good Boy’ when he does come over even if everything before that was wrong. Generally just to associate ‘close to me’ with happy thoughts.

Haha, sounds like a vivid dream. :) Your dog is adorable! And I actually like the shouting picture. You do shout in a classy way! :D

I like the pink that emerges both in the sweater and in the skirt!

Me too, my brain said ‘Those don’t go together’, but my eyes said ‘You look ADORABLE’.

My dog is a little too excited, so we only go off-leash at the dog park.

We’ve been working on it a while. But there are no dog parks nearby so we just hang out in the little gravel alleyway. (Nowhere else though)

I don’t know what to comment on. The dog? The skirt? The failed attempt at clubbing, or the grenadine induced nightmares?

    • http://hal.cyondays.com Loren Cline

Yeah I’ve got a lot going on. I seem to have a lot of nightmares about really awkward social situations that I can’t escape.

lovely! I like the mix of prints. The sweater is really adorable and the florals are so pretty! And your doggie is your best accessory!

He really is, he’s such a cutie and sat really well for most of the photos.

your nightmare sounds funny. But isn’t it supposed to be a comedy show that makes you laugh?
