That Song that Eveyone is Sick of

Everything important here is from a Thrift store, except Ian Dog and he is the most important.

Sometimes (read: Constantly) we talk to the animals, and occasionally (read: every.single.time) we make them talk back with funny voices.

Ian-dog is surprisingly good with puns, or maybe just bad with words but he’s a fan of making up his own lyrics for songs. He’s re-written the words to a very unpopular one.

You should know that these are the proper lyrics

Today, Today, gonna take a walk Today

Gonna sniff me some behinds

Because I’m part-Ian, Part-Ian! YEAH! Part-Ian Part-Ian Yeah!

Fun fun fun…. fun… fun…. fun… fun fun fun fun… uh…

Looking forward to some behinds

I was worried that his lyrics didn’t really rhyme, then I remembered the actual lyrics don’t rhyme. Hope you guys all  have a beautiful weekend. We don’t have any outings planned but I’m sure we’ll fill our days with something awesome.

Getting his sniffer ready.

That last photo of you with Ian Dog is just precious! Seriously, it should be your profile photo or something, it’s adorable.

This skirt is darling, and I love it paired with those shoes. Kevin and I talk to our cat constantly, and we have a “voice” we use for her to talk back at us with. Ahhh to be a crazy pet owner. :) Hope you have a great weekend, Loren!

I’m pretty sure everyone will admit to talking to their animals. And I think anyone who doesn’t admit they pretend the animal is talking back is just a liar.

Aww, look at you two! You both look adorable, but I don’t thank you for putting that song into my head again :P

  • http://theperpetualstudentswife.blogspot.com/ Kate, Perpetual Student’s Wife

Aaaand, now it’s stuck in my head. Thanks a heap.
I have emailed our vulgar and repugnant dog song for when Miles feels sick (to the tune of “My Favorite Things”) I’m sure you’ll love it, but your readership may be repulsed.
PS, those boots are fan-frickin-tastic. I adore the trim at the front of the laces.
Please pat your adorable pup and make smooshy love noises in his face for me.

Yeah, your song is pretty much amazing. I gave Ian an extra big cuddle just for you.

  • sara

Hehe! Kyle and I do that to Louie! My favorite is “My puppy face, my pup-pup-puppy face!” hehe :)

Why are singing dogs just so funny?

  • http://midwest-muse.net/ The Midwest Muse

    I love your skirt!

I think Ian’s version is better than the original song.

    • http://hal.cyondays.com Loren Cline

      Me too.

He has the cutest little face… I soooo miss my cat now!!!
Who would have thought that dogs singing about behinds will get me into a teary petless state? :)

I still adore this skirt by the way, as well as these glasses! :)

    • http://hal.cyondays.com Loren Cline

Sorry if it made you sad… I never think how attached I really am to our pets until they aren’t around to annoy us anymore.

      • http://www.madelinequaint.blogspot.com Madeline Quaint

Sorry, I didn’t mean to suggest my cat is not among us anymore, she is, I’ve just moved away so I don’t see her very often. She’s happily catching mice right now, probably! :)

rhyme is soooo overrated. I wish my cats sang WITH me. They prefer to sing solo at very inconvenient times in the night.

    I heart your skirt, Loren!

Ian is generally pretty quiet, which is good for an apartment dwelling dog. The kitty definitely lets us know when she needs something though :)

super cute dog. He can sing too. I remember that floral skirt, so charming and ladylike.

Ian is a very talented dog. And I know I’ve been wearing this skirt an awful lot lately.

I talk to my animals all the time! Haha, and of course I make them talk back with funny voices. So fun! Also, I love your skirt and those chestnut lace-up boots are awesome!

Any animal owner that claims otherwise is a liar.

    Oh that dog!!! So cute.

Thanks so much! He’s a total sweetie too.

Aww this makes me miss my little doggy. I’m away for work, but he’s in good hands.
Super cute outfit- of course I still love that floral skirt.

  • Virgnie

!! A signing dog! And a completely thrifted outfit!

    Such awesomeness leaves me speechless…

Oh Ian-Dog, he is lovely and it looks like he’s biting your skirt in the first pic- too cute! I love your floral skirt and also that you’re an animal talker like me (I have different voices for both cats plus I made up a cat song years ago that I still remember!)

That floral skirt is easily one of my faves of yours. The vintage floral pattern is lovely and this outfit looks great!
