My Favorite Scarf

Vest: NY&C, Pants: Gap, Shirt: Levi, Scarf: Just Creations (Fair Trade), Boots: Some store in the mall

I think every lady has that one item in their closet that they turn to to add a little extra ‘oomph’ to their outfits when they are feeling a little drab.

This scarf is mine, it always makes me feel a little more dressed up. And a little bit like a bandit. I could definitely rob a bank in wild west the 1890′s with this scarf. I’d ride in on a horse in my bandana, and ride out with one of those big bags of gold coins with dollar signs on the side.

Also the horse is a palomino and it’s name is Caramel, because that is what 8-year-old Loren wanted to name her horse before I actually met a few horses and discovered I’m a little bit scared of them. They are just so BIG, and look pretty much nothing like My Little Ponies.

      I think the color worked better on me before the red hair dye. I can’t believe how much it’s changed my ‘coloring’.

    Another awesome season transitional outfit- dark, grounded bottom half, structured light-colored top half with a rosy accent.
    Your boots are on target for the lady-role of the out west adventure… If only they had hook closures all the way down.

      I don’t think anyone would *really* be able to ride a horse in these boots. But I’d like to think I’d be tough enough out on the range to pull it off.

    cute scarf. I have a scarf dimilar to yours but it’s black. A vest always adds dimension to any outfit. This a relaxed and adorable weekend look.

    I always reach for my brooches (one of the glittery ones) when I want to add something extra to my outfit. But a scarf is a great touch too! And I love your vest – it’s the one thing missing in my closet and I’ve been searching for a good vest for a long time, but never found it :(

      I can never find them second hand. I got all my cool ones at New York & Company. Somewhere else that focuses on ‘lady business clothes’ would probably be a good place to start.
